Mersen IEC-rated fused disconnect switches are extremely durable, manually operated, and versatile. They can accommodate DIN and NFC fuses up to 1250A. They employ double break contacts per pole that ensure complete isolation of the fuse when the switch is in the OFF position. They have a TEST function that enables testing of the control circuit auxiliaries without switching the main contacts. This function provides a simple alternative to a separately wired push button. A wide array of handles is available to meet padlocking requirements and the shafts are widely adjustable.

The D fuse-system is the first generation of screw fuse-system in the german DIN standard. It is still used in many installations. Applications are low voltage ditribution units, where non trained persons are allowed to change the fuse-links. The D flink fuse range comprises the sizes NDZ, DII, DIII. The range of applications for D flink fuse-links is the protection of equipments. The D flink fuse-links, not standardized by the IEC, are fast fuse-links whereas D gG fuse links are considered in comparison as slow fuse-links.

The NH system is classified among plug-in fuse systems and is composed of , fuse-base (possibly including terminal covers and phase barriers) , fuse-link with blade contact , fuse-link replacement device (LV HRC fuse puller) Since the design of this system cannot guarantee non-interchangeability of rated current it must be handled by a qualified professional. Type "gG" NH fuse-links are full range breaking capacity fuse-links and are used to protect cables and equipment. They can interrupt any current surge, from the lowest fusing current up to their breaking capacity, and so can be used alone as protection. They also protect electrical devices and industrial set-ups from the electrodynamic effects of very high short-circuit currents.

While longterm safety, reliability, and functionality are always paramount in the design of our products, these switches are also engineered to have the smallest footprint. The modular design allows placement of the handle anywhere amongst the poles. The fuse doors cannot open when the switch is in the “ON” position, and all switches are double-break, which isolates both fuse clips from voltage during fuse replacement. The switches’ “Test” position allows actuation of the auxiliary contacts without main power. Power taps enable energizing a CPT or surge device without the need for a separate terminal block. A wide range of ergonomic handles and accessories is available.
