Mersen aM and gG fuse-links cover a wide range of physical sizes and ampere ratings for 400, 500, and 690VAC for protection in electrical distribution circuits and various industrial applications. Most ratings are available in size 8x31 and size 10x38 with an optional indicator, and in size 14x51 and 22x58 with an optional striker to activate an auxiliary contact. Size 10x38 is also available with striker. All cylindrical fuse-links have ceramic bodies and silver-plated contacts. Cylindrical fuse-links "gG" are used for the protection of cables, motors and LV-networks. They limit and cut off unacceptable overcurrents and short-circuit currents up to their nominal breaking capacity. Cylindrical fuse-links "gG" also protect electrical equipment and installations against the dynamic effect of high short-currents. The D0 fuse-system is installed in low voltage ditribution units, where fuse-links are accessible to non trained persons and can also be replaced by them. This system is the newest generation of screw fuse-system in the german DIN standard and is designed for 400VAC/250VDC networks. The D0 fuse-bases are available in the sizes D01, D02 and D03. D0 fuse-bases are used in combination with D0 fuse-links for the protection of cables and power lines. D0 fuse-links limit and cut-off unacceptable overcurrents and short circuit currents up to their nominal breaking capacity. They also protect equipments and installations against dynamic effects of high short circuit currents.

The D fuse-system is the first generation of screw fuse-systems in the German DIN standard. It is still used in many installations. This D system comprises the sizes DII, DIII, DIV, DV. Those D ultra-fast acting “gR” ranges are dedicated to semi-conductor protection, in applications where fuse-links are accessible to non-trained persons and can also be changed by them. They are used for the protection of components such as diodes, thyristors or AC/DC motor drives. The “R” stands for the English word Rectifier. D fuse-links are available at the rated current range from 2A up to 200A.

They cut off currents more than 6.3xln until the maximum breaking capacity (rated breaking capacity). Cylindrical fuse-links "aM" are mainly used for the protection of installation switch gear in otor circuit currents. For classification of the cylindrical fuse-links the nominal current of the fuse-link can be selected respective to the nominal current of the motor. Fork Design Wiring bars in fork design are ideal for the wiring of modular panel-mounting devices as per DIN 43880 with flat-type, dual-function or single-screw terminals. Additional incoming terminals are required when wiring devices with flat-type or single-screw terminals. In contrast, devices with dual-function terminals allow bar connection to the top section of the terminal with simultaneous incoming supply in the bottom section. The use of end caps on multi-pole wiring bars guarantees optimum shock-hazard protection and prevents arcing at bar ends. Pin Design Wiring bars in pin design are ideal for the wiring of modular panel-mounting devices to DIN 43880 with box terminal, frame terminal or two-scre clamp. NH fuse-bases are available for delivery in single-pole and three-pole designs and can be closely mounted in parallel rows. Each three-pole base is upplied with two phase-partition walls. NH fuse-links plugon covers which clip onto the contact springs can also be supplied for these bases. Plastic fuse-bases sizes 00 to 3 have a single-part plastic base while size 4 has a metal baseplate with 2 ceramic bases. The stable silver-plated contact springs are made of electrolytic copper and formed from one piece. Separate springing is provided by highly resilient captive steel springs, making the contact invulnerable to high thermal stress. Size 4 NH fuse-bases are designed for size 4 fuse-links with 8 mm contact blades. A microswitch (250VAC/10A, terminal size 6.3x0.8mm) can be used with NH fuse-links with striker, it operates when fuse melts or where there is no fuse-link. Indirect touch protection fuse bases no microswitch possible. Rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp 6kV / 8kV (sizes 00 / 0-4)
